This week i had a little break with my coworkers to enjoy some free time for design research and inspiration. Not too far from work i offered to go to the Morgan's museum and library where i have never been before.

I could enjoy seing some pieces of art there but mostly came to visit the beautiful library.

They offer some diffrent subscriptions that can allow you to come and do your book reasearches at the library.

I encourage you to go and have a look someday, so much more beautiful than my pictures :)

I discovered Collyer’s mansion for an art opening at their really cute store in Ditmas park and felt in love with the charming store.

A few months ago, it was a pleasure to meet again Mauri Weakley, the owner, at the opening of their second store in Brooklyn Heights on Atlantic avenue.

Come enjoy a really nice selection of home furnishings to textile collection, lighting fixtures, rugs, books and candles.

The store offers an affordable selection of design objets, from the kitchen to the office and have some art pieces from the artists that they like and want to promote.

Please come visit and enjoy meeting Mauri and her really positive and beautiful energy.

Temples has become one of my favourite band after i saw them for the first time last year at the Austin psych festival and i couldn't help but go back to see them play them again this week at the music hall of williamsburg.

Psychedelic music by charming english guys. Their sound is pretty perfect with no wrong notes, the band is pretty perfectionist. Seeing them live is like being transported in the early 70's again.

No need of too many pedals or reverb to charm you, their music is as perfect as their look. Every song is a hit and almost every day, their songs have been stuck in my head.

I have to say i somehow like to see them live better than listening to the album, it's even better with more unexpected sounds levels.

Every time very inspiring, looking forward for the next live.

This hot june weather in New York reminds me my first summer in New York two years ago. Sticky New York, i love you!

ROUGH TRADE

Rough Trade is one of my favourite place to hang out when i'm in Williamsburg.
Located in the central williamsburg, it's the cool place to hang out in between concerts in the hood or late night. You can enjoy some shows there or come shopping for some music goods. 

They carry a nice selection of new vinyls, cassettes or cds. The store offers nice listenings stations as well as a guitar's pedals corner where you can try very cool sounds. 

Coffee and drinks can be enjoyed as they recently opened some bar in the store.
